The fourth-ranked Vanderbilt Commodores will hold three scrimmages this weekend open to the public as the team continues to prepare for their season opener at San Diego February 18.
The Dores will play Friday at 4 p.m. at Hawkins Field and hold games prior to the weekend's big VU basketball games. The team will play Saturday at 9:30 a.m. before the men's basketball team takes on Kentucky at noon in Memorial Gym and Sunday at 11:30 a.m. before the women's team welcomes Tennessee to Memorial Gym at 5 p.m. Admission to all three scrimmage games is free.
Head Coach Tim Corbin and the team will be signing autographs during halftime of Saturday's game against Kentucky in the practice gym. Later Saturday night the team hosts its annual banquet at 7 p.m. at the Student Life Center across from Memorial Gym. Tickets are $30 for adults and $25 for kids with food being served beginning at 6:30 p.m.
Single-game tickets are now available for non-conference games. Season tickets for the 2011 baseball season will include a new Family Plan. The Family Plan includes two adult and two youth tickets in the outfield for starting at $199. Other season ticket options include, premium reserved seating behind home plate for $170, regular reserved seating down the lines for $135 and outfield season tickets for $75.
