Nashville, Tenn. - The No. 10 Vanderbilt Commodores will appear on television at least nine times during the 2014 season.
The Commodores will be one of the Southeastern Conference's first TV games of the spring when No. 9 LSU visits Hawkins Field on opening weekend of league play. The Dores and Tigers will play Saturday's (March 15) game at 2:15 on Fox SportsNet. The following weekend the Commodores face another tall task, this time on the road with a trip to No. 8 Mississippi State. Vandy and the Bulldogs will play two games of the series on TV that weekend with Friday (March 21) night's game being broadcast on CSS at 6:30 p.m. and Saturday's (March 22) game on ESPNU at 7:30 p.m.
Vanderbilt returns home to take on Kentucky the last weekend of March with Sunday's (March 30) tilt against the Wildcats set for 1 p.m. on ESPNU. The Dores head east to take on Tennessee the next weekend with Saturday's (April 5) game set for 6 p.m. on CSS.
No. 25 Arkansas hosts the Commodores April 18-20 with Sunday's game set for noon on ESPN from Baum Stadium. The Dores wrap up April with a series at home against Georgia. Saturday's (April 26) game is scheduled to air on CSS at 3 p.m.
Head Coach Tim Corbin and the Commodores wrap up a tough week and the road portion of the SEC schedule with a trip to No. 23 Florida in early May. The Dores and Gators will battle on Thursday (May 8) night as part of ESPNU's Thursday night SEC package. Game time is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. The series finale will also be broadcast on TV and is slated for 11 a.m. on FSN.
Vanderbilt opens the season February 14 at Long Beach State. Hawkins Field will host its first game of the season on February 19 when Lipscomb makes the trek across town. The Commodores annual banquet is February 8 at the Student Life Center.
