COACH CORBIN QUOTE: RJ spent his first year as a redshirt and it will prove to be very beneficial for him as he moves forward in our program. I like his skill with the baseball and his feel for pitching. Ryan will most likely pitch out of the bullpen this year, but I can see him eventually in a starter role. He is a team guy all the way and very well liked by his peers.

2015 - Dominated MTSU over a career-long eight scoreless innings, scattering five hits with no walks and three strikeouts, became just the third VU pitcher this year to pitch at least eight innings joining Carson Fulmer and Walker Buehler... Tossed three scoreless innings out of the pen vs. Ole Miss 4/11 stranding his sixth straight inherited runner... Allowed three runs on four hits over 1.1 innings at Georgia 4/4... Picked up his third win of the year with four solid innings out of the bullpen vs. Tennessee 3/29 allowing one run on three hits with three strikeouts... Worked a perfect ninth inning to finish off series opening win over Tennessee 3/27... Tossed a career-best six innings to notch his second win of the season allowing one run on five hits vs. Tennessee Tech 3/17... Worked 1.1 innings vs. Arkansas 3/14 in first game of DH allowing one run on four hits... Earned his first collegiate victory with five perfect innings out of the bullpen vs. Quinnipiac 3/11 striking out a career-best nine... Turned in 4.2 no-hit, scoreless innings of relief vs. Illinois State 3/1... Gave up six runs, three earned, on seven hits with two walks and three strikeouts over five innings in his first career start vs. Western Kentucky 2/25... Made his collegiate debut with 2.1 scoreless innings of relief vs. Indiana State 2/21 in Port Charlotte, Fla. allowing two hits and striking out two.

HIGH SCHOOL - Played for the Cedar Park Timberwolves where he was Newcomer of the Year and second team All-CenTex in 2010... Team won a share of the district championship in 2011-12... Named District 25-4A MVP and second team All-CenTex in 2012... First team pitcher on the All-CenTex team in 2013... Won 19 games in his career and posted a school record 1.04 ERA during the 2013 season.
