Experience: Fourth Season at Vanderbilt Blake Allen is a fourth-year volunteer assistant for the Commodores. He works primarily with the catchers and hitters but also assists John Sisk with the team's strength and conditioning program. Allen began his collegiate playing career at DePauw and finished at Blackburn College, where he earned his degree in 2001. At Blackburn he was an all-conference and record-setting performer in both football at baseball. He joined Vanderbilt after one year as baseball recruiting coordinator and linebackers/special teams coach for football at Franklin College. While there he worked with the catchers and hitters and also was involved with the strength and conditioning program as the baseball team set a record for home runs in a season and finished with its second-highest victory total ever. Prior to that he was a graduate assistant for both football and baseball for two years at DePauw University. Allen earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Blackburn College in 2001 and a Masters Degree in Kinesiology from Indiana State University in 2003. The Blake Allen File
