Vanderbilt University provides some of the finest youth and high school baseball camps in the country. Whether you are a young beginner just learning the game, a middle school player ready to take your game up a notch, or a high school player with aspirations of playing at the next level, Vanderbilt baseball has a camp to suit your needs.
2014 Vanderbilt Baseball Winter Prospect Camp Register Online
CAMP DETAILS: The Vanderbilt Baseball Winter Prospect Camp offers a unique baseball learning opportunity for the advanced high school player (grades 10-12) who has aspirations of playing baseball at the highest level (College or Pro). The two-day format is very intense and will have a large emphasis on individual position play, hitting fundamentals, and game experience. Players will also have instruction in strength training and baseball agility exercises. Players will be grouped according to position. Seniors in high school may attend and are encouraged. Enrollment will be limited and is only guaranteed on a first come, first serve basis. Reserve a spot now as the camp will fill quickly! The camp is open to any and all entrants (limited only by number, age, grade level and/or gender).
Players will choose between the following areas to attend:
o Two days of elite professional instruction
o Opportunity to meet, learn and be evaluated by current Vanderbilt Coaches
o Invaluable experience for future baseball success
o Lunch on both days
o Hotel room NOT included
CHECK-IN: Check in will take place on Saturday morning from 7:30am to 8:20am at Memorial Gym.

4:00pm-5:00pm: Question and Answer Period with Vanderbilt Coaches and Players

8:30am-11:30am: Defensive Instruction
12:00pm-3:00pm: Defensive/Offensive Stations
3:00pm: Camp Ends
FACILITIES: Hawkins Stadium is the site of the Vanderbilt Baseball Camp and serves as the home to the Commodores. Now in its 13th season of existence, Hawkins Stadium features a classic ballpark atmosphere coupled with a modern design that includes more than 4,000 seats. Alongside Hawkins Stadium sits the Vanderbilt Baseball Field House (left field line), a Hitting/Training Facility (outside the left field fence) and an Indoor Pitching Center (3rd base concourse). The Field House includes coach's offices, an equipment room, classroom and locker rooms for current players, coaches and professional (alumni) players.
WHAT TO BRING: All Campers must bring their own baseball equipment, which would include: glove, bat, cleats, baseball pants, running shoes/turf shoes, hat, and any other equipment they feel necessary to compete. Catchers must bring their own gear. Helmets will be provided. It is suggested that each player be dressed in baseball uniform. Please keep in mind this is an outdoor camp. Vanderbilt is not liable for the theft or loss of camper's personal property - please label all gear.
DIRECTIONS TO VANDERBILT (Charles Hawkins Field) via the interstates:
From the north, take I-65 to I-40 west and then look for I-40 east to exit 209B. Turn right on Broadway.
From the east or south, take I-40 west to exit 209A. Turn left on Broadway.
From the west, take I-40 east to exit 209B. Turn right on Broadway (US 70S). Follow Broadway and veer right to West End Avenue.
Follow Broadway and veer right toward West End Avenue. Turn left onto 25th Avenue and right on Jess Neely Drive. The front entrance to Hawkins Field is directly across from the McGugin Athletic Center located at 2601 Jess Neely Drive.
Vanderbilt is located a mile and a half southwest of downtown Nashville and is approximately 4 hours from Atlanta, 3 hours from Birmingham, 2 1/2 hours from Knoxville, 3 hours from Louisville and 3 hours from Memphis.
PARKING: Parents can park in large lot located on the corner of Vanderbilt Place and Natchez Trace at no charge.
HOTEL: Players traveling from out of town will be responsible for securing their own hotel accommodations. We recommend the nearby Vanderbilt Marriott and Vanderbilt Holiday Inn.
MEALS AT CAMP: Lunch will be provided for all campers on Saturday and Sunday. Please alert us prior to camp of any severe food allergies.
AIRPORT TRANSPORTATION: We do not offer transportation to and from baseball camp. We recommend Metro Livery car service 615-365-3434.

REFUND POLICY: If you are unable to attend camp, a refund can be provided less a $50 processing fee when a request is submitted up to 6 days prior to camp. Refunds requested within 5 days of the start of camp, or after camp has ended, will not be granted. The camp is staffed based on the number of registered campers and staff changes cannot be made last minute. Please ensure you can attend camp before registering.
IMPORTANT: Please be sure you enter your email address correctly and check your email regularly as this is the primary way we communicate. Any additional information that we need to convey as the camp draws closer will be passed on to you via the e-mail address that you submitted through the Active registration process. Please make it a habit to check your e-mail daily; this will eliminate any confusion and or miscommunication.
