Football recap. No. 2 Alabama pulled away from Vanderbilt in the second half and blanked the Dores 34-0 Saturday in Tuscaloosa. "Against a good team like that, you have to take advantage of those opportunities," Franklin said. "All I can say is we're going to stick to our plan and work hard... We just have to execute better."
Soccer shines. Vanderbilt had an impressive weekend with two conference wins at home. The Dores rallied to hand LSU its first SEC loss Friday, and then shut out Arkansas 2-0 on Sunday.
