Junior guard John Jenkins has been working out this summer with hopes of earning one of 12 roster spots on the 2011 USA World University Games Team. "I've been living in the gym," Jenkins told The Tennessean. "I haven't been going out. I haven't been doing anything else. I'm with my family, I eat, I sleep and I work out. It's something I have to get done."

Former Commodore John Stokes was one of 14 non-drafted free agents to receive an invite to the Tennessee Titans preseason training camp.

Commodore pitcher Corey Williams, a third-round draft pick, signed with the Minnesota Twins. Earlier this spring, VUcommodores' produced a terrific feature on Williams' comeback from injury.

James Franklin visited ESPN's "Car Wash" event yesterday and appeared on several shows and digital platforms.
