That includes Vanderbilt's annual field day activities between Commodore student-athletes which features games such as Dizzy Bat, Frisbee Toss and the always-entertaining Three-Legged Race.

With his team trailing in the Tug-of-War championship match, Carey Spear made an adjustment.

The husky football kicker, positioned at the anchor, decided to leverage his weight by wrapping the rope around his waist, turning in the opposite direction and crouching in a three-point stance. The tractor-pull technique looked like something you'd see on an old episode of "World's Strongest Man."

Did Spear's move rally his team to the title?
