Vanderbilt Golf Camp is designed to accomplish two things...to have fun and become better golfers! Campers will receive instruction from the Vanderbilt men's and women's golf coaches on basic golf fundamentals, skill and technique, course management, rules, and etiquette. Campers will have the opportunity to apply what they learn at camp as they compete against each other in team competitions and in one-on-one competitive golf situations.

Dates: Friday-Monday, July 29-August 1, 2016
Location: Vanderbilt Legends Club in Franklin, Tenn.
Age: 10-17 years
*Overnight campers must be entering the 8th grade
*10-17years for commuters. If you aren't entering the 8th grade, you must commute or stay in a hotel with a guardian.
Cost: $850 Commuters (ages 10-17), $950 Overnight Campers
Description: For boys and girls, ages 10-17, of all skill levels. The price includes meals, housing, golf activities, and a camp amenity package. Each student is evaluated at the beginning of camp to ensure that the juniors of similar ability are grouped for instruction geared to their needs with student/Instructor ratio of no more than 6:1. Morning instruction rotates stations for putting, chipping, pitching, bunkers, full swing, games, and competition. The afternoon session is on-course play with coaches to work on shot selection and course management. At the conclusion of each day, campers will enjoy guest speakers, seminars, a tour of Vanderbilt University's campus, movies, field games, and night golf. Full time coaches and counselors will be available to ensure the safety of the campers at the golf course and in the hotel.

Note: Walk-up registration is permitted on the day of camp. You will be charged a $50 on top of the camp fee.
Camps are open to any and all entrants (limited only by number, age, grade level and/or gender)
Cancellation Policy: If camp enrollment needs to be cancelled, Vanderbilt University will retain $100 of your registration (including any fees associated with online registration). The remaining amount of the registration will be refunded to you in the same method used at registration.
Once a camp begins, money will not be refunded unless extenuating circumstances are approved by the Vanderbilt Athletics Department Administration.
ABOUT THE COACHES
SCOTT LIMBAUGH Vanderbilt Men's Head Golf Coach
In just his fourth year at Vanderbilt, Scott Limbaugh has taken the program from the 75th ranked team in the country to 4th. The team's 2nd place finish at the 2015 NCAA National Championship stroke play and elite 8 finish in the match play portion was the highest finish in program history. Coach Limbaugh's teams have won six times since his arrival. Last year Limbaugh coached the SEC player of the year, Hunter Stewart, and 3 other All SEC selections. In addition, he coached 3 Vanderbilt All Americans last year, (Hunter Stewart 1st team, Matthias Schwab 3rd team and Zack Jaworski Honorable Mention). Before moving to Nashville, Coach Limbaugh served as the Assistant Men's Golf Coach and Head Recruiting Coordinator for the University of Alabama. Coach Limbaugh coached Alabama to 2 SEC titles and 4 NCAA championship appearances with a runner-up finish in 2012. In the process, Coach Limbaugh has coached and mentored 10 All-Americans, 3 of them being First Team All Americans and 3 PGA Tour players - Bud Cauley, Justin Thomas and Michael Thompson.
GREG ALLEN Vanderbilt Women's Head Golf Coach
In his 16th season as a head coach in women's collegiate golf, Greg Allen is in his ninth season at the helm of the Vanderbilt women's golf program. The Commodores are off to a solid start in the 2015-2016 season. They are just coming off a record setting victory at the UNLV collegiate where they broke a school record shooting 33 under par. In 2014 the program claimed 6 team titles including the SEC Championship and the NCAA East Regional. Individual team members also enjoyed success in 2014, winning 5 times. Coach Allen has coached five All-Americans at Vanderbilt, including two-time SEC Player of the Year Marina Alex. Coach Allen came to Vanderbilt after a seven-year tenure as the head coach at the University of Arizona, where he twice won the Pac-10 Conference, finished as NCAA runner-up in 2002 and coached Lorena Ochoa, formerly the No. 1 ranked player on the LPGA Tour, among nine other All-Americans.
DUSTY SMITH Vanderbilt Men's Assistant Golf Coach
Dusty Smith joined the Vanderbilt men's golf staff in the summer of 2011 and also serves and the team's recruiting coordinator. Coach Smith, a former Ping All-American, served as an assistant coach with the men's and women's golf teams at Lamar University, his alma mater, for three seasons before his arrival in Nashville. Coach Smith is outstanding in player development.

1. Where will camp be held?
Camp will be held at the Vanderbilt Legends Club. Vanderbilt Legends Club offers an exceptional instruction facility located in the heart of Tennessee, with a two-sided driving range, a short game area with three putting greens and three chipping greens. It is the home of the Vanderbilt Commodores men's and women's golf teams.

Cell phones are permitted at camp, but campers must abide by the rules relative to their daily usage. Cell phones are strictly prohibited during instruction and course of play. If a camper is seen using a cell phone when usage is prohibited, it will be confiscated and returned upon the end of the day. Cell phone usage is limited to periods of free-time and in the evenings. Parents-Please make sure your child has read and understands this policy.
Spending Money: We recommend that each camper brings at least $50 of spending money for snacks or souvenirs. We will be taking a tour of the Vanderbilt University campus. Campers are responsible for keeping up with their money.
Packing List: Below is a suggested list of clothes, equipment, and personal items that we recommend you bring. Vanderbilt University is not responsible for lost or stolen articles or money. DO NOT bring valuable items to camp with you and remember to label clothing and equipment.
