Vanderbilt All-America Honorees Vanderbilt has a storied athletic history. A current and charter member of the Southeastern Conference, the Commodores have claimed multiple team and individual league or national championships through the years. The most recent championship came on March 11, 2012 when Vanderbilt's men's basketball team won the SEC Tournament title in New Orleans. Last fall (Oct. 31, 2011), Vanderbilt's women's cross country team won its first league title.
