The latest buzz on the web surrounding the Vanderbilt Commodores:

VUCommodores.com: Vanderbilt athletics is honoring Veterans Day with a number of events on campus this weekend. Through a special partnership with Medals of Honor, Vanderbilt footballs Deep Water uniforms will feature names of fallen servicemen and women on the back with the soldiers' military branch patch on the front of the jersey. The Commodores' coaching staff will wear special Salute to Service sweatshirts with names of fallen servicemen and women on the front and their branch patches on the sleeve. Check out all of our #SalutetoService content here.

NCAA: Vanderbilt soccer earned its first berth in the NCAA tournament since 2006 this week in a first-round matchup with 4-seed Ohio State on Friday at 5 p.m. CT. For three senior Commodores, that accomplishment means a little bit more.

The Tennessean: Vanderbilt women's basketball inked a top-20 signing class this week in a pair of local products in Jordyn Cambridge and Brinae Alexander. The two players are AAU teammates and have been best friends since the fourth grade.

SEC: Vanderbilt basketball players Perry Wallace and Godfrey Dillard, along with four former Kentucky football players -- Nate Northington, Wilbur Hackett, Houston Hogg and the late Greg Page -- will be honored as recipients of the Michael L. Slive Distinguished Service Award during several SEC Football Championship Weekend events December 1-2 in Atlanta.

ITA: Vanderbilt tennis' Fernanda Contreras has been named a recipient of the 2017 Oracle ITA Fall Nationals Sportsmanship Award. Congrats to Fern!

Vanderbilt Hustler: Ejike Obinna’s path to Vanderbilt is unlike any other. The Hustler's Simon Gibbs chronicles the Commodores' freshman's path from West Africa to West End.

VUCommodores.com: Vanderbilt men's basketball could record its 1,000th consecutive game with a made 3-pointer on Friday against Austin Peay. In recognition, here's a look back at former Commodore Shan Foster's epic Senior Night vs. Mississippi State, in which he drilled nine 3-pointers.

Anchor Down Productions: This week Vanderbilt hosted an ESPNW Campus Conversation, where the panel provided great advice to Vanderbilt student-athletes and staff.
