After a relatively quiet weekend for home events, the docket fills up again this weekend. Commodore fans will have the opportunity to watch Vanderbilt's football and soccer teams in action.
The football team hosts Georgia at 11 a.m. CT on Saturday. The game will air nationally on CBS with Tim Brando and Aaron Taylor in the booth. Locally, the game can be heard on 1510 AM, 560 AM and 95.9 FM with Joe Fisher, John Gromos and Mitch Light on the call. (More Information)
Vanderbilt athletics has also partnered with the Sports Fund of the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee to have a sporting goods drive before Saturday's football game. Fans are encouraged to bring new or gently used sporting equipment to the game. (More Information)
The soccer team hosts Arkansas at 6 p.m. Friday and Mississippi State at 1 p.m. Sunday. Last season the Commodores defeated Arkansas and Mississippi State. Sunday's game will be televised by CSS. (More Information)
Also in action on the road this weekend are Vanderbilt's men's and women's cross country teams and the women's tennis team. (More Information)
The tennis team is playing in Memphis at the USTA/ITA Ohio Valley Regional Championships Friday through Tuesday.
On Friday, the men's and women's cross country teams will be competing at the Crimson Classic. Vanderbilt will also have eight runners at the Roy Griak Invitational in Madison, Wis., on Saturday. (More Information)
