The latest buzz surrounding the Vanderbilt Commodores:

AL.com: In search of a good interview, Joseph Goodman of AL.com featured Vanderbilt linebacker Oren Burks at SEC Media Days. Writes Goodman: "Vanderbilt kids always have something interesting to say. How often do you have a chance to ask the future leaders of America a few questions?"

SECCountry.com: Alex Martin Smith breaks down Vanderbilt running back Ralph Webb, who continued to answer questions about being underrated at SEC Media Days.  But that hasn't stopped Webb from chasing history. "If Webb continues his high level of production, he won’t need attention from the media, anyhow; the SEC record books will print his name plenty," writes Martin Smith.

The Tennessean: For more Ralph Webb coverage from Media Days, Adam Sparks gets Webb to reflect on some of the legendary names he might pass in the SEC record books: Bo Jackson, Derrick Henry and the like.

Media Days: Vanderbilt made the most of its trip to Hoover, especially in the fashion department.

The Tennessean: Joe Rexrode chronicles Kyle Shurmur's rise from son of an NFL coach to SEC quarterback. With 18 career starts under his belt, Shurmur begins the 2017 season as one of the more experienced quarterbacks in the SEC.

The Charlotte Observer: Vanderbilt senior guard Matthew Fisher-Davis is featured by his hometown Charlotte newspaper, where he reflects on his role in the Commodores' NCAA tournament loss to Northwestern and how he's moving into 2017-18.
