It was moderately low-key in the office this past week with school finishing up and all of our in-season teams on the road. Vanderbilt Track and Field competed in their final regular season meet at Clemson, while both tennis and golf teams began preparing for their upcoming NCAA tournaments.
In Vandy alumni news, our own Festus Ezeli had a huge week as Golden State advanced to the second round of the NBA playoffs. Vanderbilt Baseball dominated the Gamecocks on Friday and Saturday, but was rained out Sunday on the one day this weekend it WASN'T raining in Nashville.
And Saturday, yours truly was able to accompany James Franklin and Vanderbilt staff members to the Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony where Coach was given the Tennessean of the Year Award (and recruited Penny Hardaway to play next season). It was an awesome event (with great dessert) as honorees recounted their journeys through sports and the people that helped them get a spot on the dais.
Let's see what #CommodoreNation had to say about the week in our Social Sweep.
