Nashville Sports History: Stories from the Stands, a collection of essays researched and written by sports historian Bill Traughber, can now be purchased on-line and will become available in Nashville area bookstores approximately March 1.
Traughber has written Vanderbilt sports history for the university's athletic web site and other publications for many years. Some of his best articles along with stories he's written about Nashville's rich sports history have been combined by The History Press into this unique paperback book. Timeless photographs illustrate many of these memories.
Nashville Sports History: Stories from the Stands can be purchased now at historypress.net and amazon.com or readers can meet the author and get signed copies by attending one of three planned events:
- March 9: The Metro Archives, 3801 Hills Village Drive, Nashville 6:00 - 7:30 p.m.

Traughber is considered by many to be the preeminent sports historian in Tennessee, earning many honors from the Tennessee Sports Writers Association. He resides in Brentwood, Tennessee.
