The drastic changes in weather conditions in Nashville during the past few weeks have not prevented construction from taking place on Vanderbilt's new multipurpose center and addition to its recreation center.
Just in the past week, the first noticeable signs of a structure have appeared in the form of steel beams, which have been bolted to the ground and welded together.
VUCommodores.com will continue to provide updates on the construction progress until work is completed. The multipurpose facility is scheduled to open Oct. 31, 2013 with work completed on the recreation center's enhancements in January, 2014.
