Vanderbilt hosts Kennesaw State on Saturday

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Vanderbilt lacrosse looks to get back into the win column on Saturday hosting Kennesaw State at the Vanderbilt Lacrosse Complex. Opening draw is slated for noon and will be shown on ESPN+.

Vanderbilt (2-1) suffered its first loss of the season last weekend at Stanford, 18-5. Sophomore transfer Molly Krestinski registered her first hat trick in a Vandy uniform while Brooke Baker continued her impressive play by adding another goal for the Dores.

Baker leads the offense for the Dores with 11 goals off 16 shots so far this season. The graduate student also has the second-most free position goals per game in the country, sitting at 2.33. Only Madison Taylor of Northwestern has more with 2.50 per game.

Saturday’s matchup will be the 10th between Vandy and Kennesaw State, with the Commodores leading 9-0 in the all-time series.

Kennesaw State (4-2) is coming off a 25-7 loss to Mercer on Wednesday. The Owls lead the nation in four single-game high categories including ground balls (45; 2/12/24 vs. Reinhardt), points (41; 2/21 vs. Gardener Webb), goals (28; 2/21 vs. Gardener Webb) and draw controls (28; 2/21 vs. Gardener Webb).
