Vanderbilt falls in Baltimore to ranked Johns Hopkins

BALTIMORE, Md. – Ava Angello led No. 15 Johns Hopkins with a game-high six points off five goals and one assist as the Blue Jays topped Vanderbilt 21-3 Wednesday afternoon at Homewood Field.

Johns Hopkins (6-2) had 13 scorers in the game including a hat trick from Taylor Hoss. Bailey Cheetham added five points for the Blue Jays off four assists and one goal. Cheetham also added three ground balls.

Senior Megan Graziano scored her first goal of the season for Vanderbilt (3-2) to stop an 8-0 run by Johns Hopkins. Sophomore Logan Risenhoover also found the back of the cage for the Dores and added two caused turnovers. Freshman Morgan White scored her first collegiate goal. Molly Finlay added an assist in the game and registered five draw controls.

Vanderbilt returns to Music City for a weekend matchup with Arizona State on Sunday. Opening draw is slated for noon and will be shown on ESPN+.
